Ljubljana glows with festive lighting and nine Christmas trees are adorning the city. May again this year December be a month of good wishes for the future.
Ljubljana is becoming even greener, as we are planting new trees in several locations, and we are also taking into account citizens’ initiatives. In spring we have already planted some 140 trees and until the end of the year we are going to plant over 460 more.
Ljubljana, UNESCO City of Literature, is going to hold the title Reading Friendly Municipality, which it received in 2017, for another three years.
European Capital of Culture
Supported by 25 municipalities of the Ljubljana Urban Region, Ljubljana thus embarks on the path to the title of European Capital of Culture 2025.
